Stephen Kinder

Stephen has always found great comfort and joy in the landscape. He is intrigued by the ever changing weather and seasons, which dramatically change a locality. His work intends to be a reaction to the essence of a place visited. "I find the way that light falls across the landscape and creates a particular mood and atmosphere very absorbing as I try and capture that particular moment in time."

Most of Stephen's paintings are created on location, larger pieces are painted back in his studio.

Stephen's work is exhibited nationwide. He also teaches art at secondary school level and has been the head of art and design for many years.
